Bellano Dental Health recently gave teachers another reason to smile. We randomly selected nine local teachers from our patient population to receive gift cards to put towards their classrooms as they head back to school.
“We know how hard our teachers work and that this time of year can be difficult for them as they get ready to serve our students. We wanted to give back to these educators who give so much to our community, and we have many patients who are teachers. This was just a small way we could thank them for and recognize all their hard work.” said Bellano CEO, Jeff Gardino.
There were three teachers selected from each office, and range from Pre-K to High School in their areas of expertise. The full list included:

- Brooke Hoffman - 8th Grade, Lausanne Collegiate School
- Lajuana Cole - K-5th Reading Interventionist, Winchester Elementary
- Kim Cupples - 3rd Grade, Oak Elementary
“The timing of this was perfect,” said Jennifer Carkeet of Alturia Elementary. “I knew exactly what I wanted to purchase – a new rolling adjustable podium for my classroom that is typically outside of my budget. I already have purchased it and am excited to use it as I set up my new classroom. Teachers end up doing a lot of purchasing at the start of the year, so that little bit of extra is a big help!”
“I always have an Amazon Wishlist going for my classroom,” said Amy McMinn of Oakland Elementary. “It was exciting to be able to order some of those items! In-service is a busy time of planning and prepping for the new school year.”
“They know their clients!” said Stephanie Thomas of Germantown High School. “They know exactly who their teachers are, and they remember you. As teachers, this time of year is very expensive – you have to make sure your students are taken care of, so this gift came at exactly the right time – I knew just what I wanted to get!”
In addition to giving away gift cards to these teachers, we also regularly supports and sponsors local schools. We have partnered with St. George's, White Station High School, St. Ann Bartlett, CBHS, St. Benedict, Briarcrest, and Bartlett High School for sponsorship.
